Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working in GI/Endo preferred.
Minimum Skills/abilities
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Manual dexterity to perform job functions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and security for all medical center related, medical staff related, and patient related data and information.

Certification/Licensure
- Graduate of CNA or Surgical tech program preferred.
- BLS certification required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide and assist with physical care and environmental support for patients.
- Communicate significant patient factors timely.
- Monitor vital signs and notify RN of abnormal values.
- Apply and re-apply telemetry monitor leads and electrodes.
- Assist with Endoscopy procedures, prepare rooms, and assist with turnover.
- Assist MD with procedures, including handling endoscopic devices and maintaining endoscopes.
- Collect and transport specimens as directed.
- Assist with patient positioning and recovery under RN supervision.
- Respond effectively in emergency situations, providing direct or indirect patient care.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of tubes and drains, perform glucose testing, and routine quality control.
- Apply and remove sequential compressive devices.
- Assist with patient discharge and maintain procedural room cleanliness.
- Maintain and care for specialized equipment and supplies.
- Transport patients and report damaged or lost equipment.
- Clean and maintain endoscopes, adhere to cleaning guidelines, and document procedures.
- Perform video capsule procedures and documentation.
- Respect patient dignity, promote a professional environment, and communicate effectively across cultures.
