Schedule:

40 Hours, Days, 8am-5pm, Full Time, Benefit Eligible, Non-Union

Position Summary:

1. Ensure training, orientation, and competency of all pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
2. Assist the Director with quality reporting of automated dispensing machines.
3. Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising pharmacy staff.
4. Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, prepare medications, I.V. additives, sterile irrigations, and other products following established procedures.
5. Maintain Pyxis machines.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience: At least 5 years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital setting, including experience with automated dispensing machines.
3. Ability to supervise, manage, and train pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
4. Certification/Licensure: Current PTCB certification.
5. Software/Hardware: Experience with Pyxis and Meditech systems.
