Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Nampa is seeking an Endoscopy Technician 1 to join the Endoscopy team in a full-time role. The technician identifies and secures instrumentation and equipment for endoscopy procedures and assists with the procedures.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with regular evening calls, occasional nights and weekends, and rotating holiday call. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0 years of relevant experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• CNA experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up carts prior to procedure and prepare the procedure room.
• Maintain integrity of supplies and equipment and assist during endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare, maintain and clean equipment and supplies.
• Operate and log use of Automated Endoscope Re-processors and GI endoscopes, including high-level disinfection.
• Inventory and order Endoscopy equipment and other supplies.
• Restock supplies used in endoscope reprocessing and procedure rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

St. Luke's Health System has an exciting opportunity for an Endoscopy Technician 1 to join our Endoscopy team at Nampa Hospital in a full-time position! The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for identifying and securing instrumentation and equipment needed for endoscopy procedures as well as assisting with that procedure.

Schedule: Mon - Fri, from 7am - 3:30pm with regular evening calls, occasional nights and weekends, and rotational call for holidays.

What You Can Expect:

• Assesses and anticipates the needs for a specific case to include (but not limited to) setting up carts prior to procedure, opening procedure room, maintaining integrity of supplies and equipment.
• Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
• Assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
• Performs care and maintenance of Automated Endoscope Re-processors and GI Endoscopes, including high-level disinfection. Keep service and repair logs.
• Inventory and order Endoscopy equipment and other medical supplies.
• Performs inventory and re-stock supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing and procedure rooms.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 0 years of relevant experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
• CNA experience highly preferred
