Job summary

LMH Health in Kansas seeks an Endoscopic Technician to assist in endoscope procedures, process scopes, and support patient care under the direction of an RN.

This role requires infection control and patient safety emphasis with a 4x9-hour shift schedule per week. Current Kansas Nurse Aide Certification, SGNA training within 1 year, and BLS certification are required; endoscopy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in endoscope procedures and patient care under RN direction.

• Maintains excellent customer service and interactions with patients and staff.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of equipment to meet infection control standards.
• Adheres to unit policies and care plans; performs other duties as needed.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Endoscopic Technician performs duties within the Clinical Associate scope of practice with the adult patient. Their primary responsibility is assisting in endoscope procedures, processing scopes, and assisting with patient care under the direction of an RN. Schedule: 4 9 hour shifts a week II.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides care in accordance with the patient/family plan of care, with the supervision of an RN.
• Communicates pertinent information to the team leader.
• Maintains excellent customer service skills and interacts with customers in a respectful manner.
• Prioritizes work with patients/co-workers efficiently and effectively.
• Performs cleaning and maintain equipment to meet infection control and safety standards.
• Performs care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: Current Kansas Nurse Aide Certification
• SGNA Associates Program completed within 1 year
• BLS Certification
• Preferred: 1 year of endoscopy tech experience
