Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist with patient admission, room preparation, and care in the endoscopy suite. The role requires knowledge of equipment handling and reprocessing, plus strong communication to support staff.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, complete on-site Endoscopy Technician training, and obtain BLS certification within six months of hire. Reprocessing certification within six months is also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of on-site Endoscopy Technician training program.
• Ability to use critical thinking to carry out assignments independently, according to policies and procedures.
• Scope reprocessing must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
• Scope reprocessing certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The Endoscopy Technician will:

• Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients to/from the endoscopy room.
• Participate in preparation of endoscopy room and contributes to the efficiency of the endoscopy suites by communicating all pertinent information to the appropriate staff.
• Be completely knowledgeable of care, handling and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation.
• Provide and maintain safety, comfort and cleanliness.
• Participate in planning and evaluation of patient care by communicating all information pertinent to patient's status.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
