Job summary

Saint Peter's Endoscopy is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support patient admission, transfer and discharge within the endoscopy suite. The role emphasizes preparing the room, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and efficient communication of patient status to staff.

The technician will be knowledgeable in care, handling, and reprocessing of equipment, and will participate in planning and evaluating patient care with timely information sharing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of on-site Endoscopy Technician training program.
• Ability to exercise critical thinking and work independently according to policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of patients to/from the endoscopy room.
• Prepare endoscopy room and communicate information to staff to improve efficiency.
• Be knowledgeable of care, handling and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation.
• Provide and maintain safety, comfort and cleanliness.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to planning staff and contribute to patient care planning.

The Endoscopy Technician will:

• Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients to/from the endoscopy room.
• Participate in preparation of endoscopy room and contributes to the efficiency of the endoscopy suites by communicating all pertinent information to the appropriate staff.
• Be completely knowledgeable of care, handling and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation.
• Provide and maintain safety, comfort and cleanliness.
• Participate in planning and evaluation of patient care by communicating all information pertinent to patient's status.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of on-site Endoscopy Technician training program.
• Ability to use critical thinking to carry out assignments/procedures independently, according to policies and procedures.
• Scope reprocessing must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
• Scope reprocessing certification required within 6 months of hire.

Salary Range:18.47 - 28.61 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
