Job summary

GastroCare Physicians of Georgia in Madison, GA is seeking a part-time Endoscopy Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff during procedures. The role focuses on room preparation, instrument handling, and ensuring smooth procedural flow in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and BLS certification, with endoscopy experience preferred. The position offers weekday day shifts with no weekends or major holidays, on-site at our Madison center, and pay

Qualifications

• Endoscopy experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to each case.
• Maintain procedural flow and assist with room turnover.
• Perform endoscope handling, cleaning, and disinfection processes.
• Complete manual cleaning steps, including leak testing and proper scope transport.
• Operate automated endoscope reprocessors (AER) as trained.
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of scope usage and reprocessing.
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contributes to a coordinated, team-based approach to procedures

Additional Responsibilities

• Support general clinical and operational needs of the center
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of procedure and reprocessing areas

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
• Highly prefer previous endoscopy experience
