Job summary

The Iowa Clinic seeks an Endoscopy Tech Supervisor to lead daily operations in the Endoscopy Center and mentor staff. You will ensure high standards of patient care, collaborate with physicians, and manage scheduling and evaluations.

This role supports standard clinic hours, with focus on teamwork, staff development, and quality patient services in Central Iowa.

Qualifications

• Endoscopy experience required.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and mentor others.
• Professional demeanor when assisting physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care with Endoscopy Center personnel.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor for Endoscopy Techs.
• Order and maintain supply and equipment inventory.
• Assist the physician during procedures.
• Interview and hire Endoscopy Technicians; train staff.

A day in the life…

Wondering what a day in the life of an Endoscopy Tech Supervisor at The Iowa Clinic might look like?

• Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
• Work with Endoscopy Center personnel in providing quality patient care and services
• Work as a team, providing assistance, and sharing responsibilities
• Act as a preceptor and ongoing mentor for Endo Techs
• Order and maintain supply and equipment inventory
• Performs duties related to the cleaning, re-processing, and maintaining endoscopes and accessories
• Assists the physician during procedure
• Interview and hire Endoscopy Technicians, trains, and mentors new staff
• Assist with staff schedules, approving leave time and timecards
• Complete annual evaluations of the technician staff, identify opportunities for recognition and continuing education
• Leave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Maintain BLS Certification
• Prior clinical experience in endoscopic procedures
