VillageMD is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist in decontamination and distribution of flexible endoscopy equipment for patient care. You will support GI staff and participate in endoscopy procedures as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 0-1 year experience, a valid driver’s license, and CER certification or within 1 year of employment. English communication and basic office skills are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Certified in Flexible Endoscope Reprocessing (CER) or obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required.
• Strong Multi - tasking, organizing & priority setting skills required.
• Experience with Hand Tools and Material handling equipment, i.e. hand carts, dollies, etc. preferred.
• Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred.
• Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Windows based environment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Clean, disinfect endoscopic scopes and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards.
• Maintain endoscopic equipment, notify lead technician of repairs.
• Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning.
• Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies.
• Ensure appropriate and safe storage of endoscopic scopes and equipment.
• Notify lead technician of stock deficits related to endoscopy equipment.
• Conduct weekly maintenance of endoscopy washer/disinfectors and drying cabinets.
• Maintain audit trail records for endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Assist physician in endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare rooms according to procedure requirements.
• Attend in-service training to refresh skills.
