Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA is seeking an Endoscopy Specialty Technician. This role functions as a specialty tech, teaching aide and resource person in the endoscopy suite, caring for patients from adolescent to geriatric, and supporting procedural teams.

You will set up endoscopy procedures, assist the proceduralist, help with specimen collection and preparation, clean and disinfect equipment, and maintain a safe, aseptic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Endoscopy or Operating Room within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Set up endoscopy procedures with proper endoscopes and supplies.
• Assist the proceduralist during endoscopic procedures.
• Assist in collection, preparation, verification and logging of specimens.
• Clean and disinfect endoscopes per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, aseptic environment and monitor equipment.
• Precept new staff and adhere to infection control policies.
• Coordinate overtime and call coverage as required.
