Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Specialty Technician to function as a teaching aide and resource person in their specialty, supporting endoscopy procedures from adolescent to geriatric patients.

You will prepare and assist with endoscopic procedures, care for endoscopes, maintain aseptic environment, and help with specimen collection; requires 1 year experience in Endoscopy or OR and a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in Endoscopy or Operating Room within the last five years (PRN)
• Licensure or other certifications:

Responsibilities

• Functions as a specialty technician in the Endoscopy procedure rooms or at bedside and assists with endoscopic procedures, including setup and specimen handling.
• Maintains a safe and aseptic environment and assists in monitoring endoscopic equipment for proper function.
• Expedites safe turnover of procedures and assists with room cleanup and re-prep for the next case.
• Performs routine tasks to support the Endoscopy Unit and participates in overtime, call coverage, and scheduling as needed.
