A focus on safety, quality, and collaboration is essential. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with GI tech experience preferred and BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Prior Experience as a GI Tech preferred.
• Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Function as an assistive person during endoscopy procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Handle specimens and adhere to safety protocols.
• Prepare and assemble sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Provide instruments to the endoscopist and maintain a sterile field.
• Maintain and troubleshoot endoscopy instruments and equipment.
• Clean and prepare equipment for processing and transport to decontamination.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning and room turnover.
• Participate in quality improvement and team safety activities.
