Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a nursing support role within the Endoscopy department at 2799 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202. Under direct supervision of the provider, nursing leadership and/or an RN, you will perform a variety of nursing care functions, provide comfort to patients, observe patients, and communicate pertinent data to the RN.

You will perform technical patient care services under supervision of nursing leadership and a RN or the Charge RN.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, Emergency Medical Tech training, preferred.
• Familiarity with endoscopy equipment or scope/instrument reprocessing, preferred.
• Minimal two years health care exposure in a similar clinic setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care functions within all aspects of Endoscopy under direct supervision of the provider, nursing leadership and/or an RN.
• Provides support and comfort to the patient's needs, observes the patient and communicates pertinent data to the RN.
• Performs technical patient care services under supervision of nursing leadership and/or a RN or the Charge RN.
