Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgery department. The role involves delivering a full range of nursing services to patients, using clinical judgment and the nursing process to ensure high-quality outcomes during day shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with weekends/holidays on a rotating basis.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider from the American Heart Association within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Graduate of an approved professional RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients using professional judgment and the nursing process.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, and customer service orientation within the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice.
• Collaborate with the care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while maintaining cost-consciousness.

• Schedule: 28hours per week, Day shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday thru Friday, Rotating weekends/holidays/call shifts

Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes, and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
