Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to support GI providers and the interprofessional care team. Under RN/physician direction, you will assist with endoscopy procedures, prepare rooms, and manage equipment and supplies to ensure safe, efficient patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining endoscope readiness, coordinating with staff, documenting patient data, and upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced GI lab.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of patient care experience in healthcare.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Requires BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and equipment for procedures.
• Assists physicians with endoscopy procedures and monitor patient status.
• Maintains clean and organized work environment and restock supplies.
• Handles specimens and documents patient data accurately.
