Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Gastroenterology Technologist (GI Tech) to join our clinical team in a hands-on patient-care role within endoscopy procedures. You will support the procedure team and work under the supervision of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse to help meet patient outcomes.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, BLS/BCLS certification, and prior GI Tech or ORT experience is preferred. This is an on-site position with compensation aligned to market rates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior GI Tech or Operating Room Technician (ORT) experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists procedure team with gowning, gloving, and eye protection for patient procedures.
• Prepares procedure room and supplies for endoscopy procedures.
• Maintains and prepares supplies and equipment; handles sterile technique according to guidelines.
• Pre-cleans, disinfects, processes and stores endoscopes as directed.
• Cleans and disinfects instruments and returns them to storage after use.
• Participates in TIME OUT processes with the procedure team; supports room readiness each morning.
