Qualifications

• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI.
• Must be conscientious, organized, and able to handle stress in a busy operating room and GI lab environment.
• Must be able to communicate and understand English, both written and verbal.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Knowledge of OR and GI policies/procedures.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs.
• Document intra-procedure notes and assist physician on all GI procedures.
• Assess patients prior to procedure and document intra-procedure notes.
• Assist physician on all GI procedures.
• Preop and Recovery duties including turnover and patient assistance.

Endoscopy Tech at DigestiveCare, LLC

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment. Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area. Assessing patients prior to procedure. Document intra-procedure notes. Assist physician on all GI procedures. Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area. Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy. Assists in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance and stocking

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
