Job summary

Midwest Physicians Surgery Center is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support endoscopic procedures under the supervision of a surgeon. Responsibilities include operating technical equipment, maintaining endoscopes, and ensuring smooth patient flow in a team-based environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, preferably two years of endoscopy experience, and BLS certification. Work is weekday-only with some evenings; compensation includes competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in endoscopy preferred.
• BLS Certification required or preferred.
• Strong patient-care and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Endoscopy Tech at Midwest Physicians Surgery Center

The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide the optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation. Other GI technician responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover. Stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
