Endoscopy Tech - Endo Lab, PRN

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopic procedures.
• Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy.
• Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Performs clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assembles and maintains patient chart material, records and files; maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation.
• Completes charges for patients.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent. Preferred graduate of GI/OR Technology program or CNA/MA program.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary preferred or as CNA/MA.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Previous experience in Endoscopy preferred.
