Job summary

Midwest Physicians Surgery Center in Missouri is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support GI procedures under a surgeon's supervision. You will help operate endoscopic equipment and ensure patient safety in a team setting, with a focus on efficiency in the procedure room.

The role involves cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and gear, while also managing patient flow, room turnover, and basic clerical tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience in endoscopy.
  • BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and related instrumentation.
  • Facilitate patient flow and room turnover.
  • Stock procedure rooms and order supplies.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties.

Welcome to Midwest Physicians Surgery Center! Midwest Physicians Surgery Center, a leading outpatient surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and service-oriented environment.

Endoscopy Tech at Midwest Physicians Surgery Center

The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide the optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation. Other GI technician responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover. Stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Preferred two years’ experience in endoscopy.
  • BLS Certification
