Job summary

The Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy to float between procedure and pre/post, covering inpatient and outpatient areas. The role requires the nursing process, collaboration with physicians, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

This full-time position (0.9 FTE/Days, 7am–4:30pm) includes on-call every 9th day, holiday pay, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support patient care and professional growth within a high-volume endoscopy

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (Indiana or compact state)
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred
• Endoscopy experience preferred or demonstrated competency in procedure support

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Documents findings and reports changes to care team.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Ensures infection control protocols are followed.
