Job summary

HCA Florida University Hospital is seeking an Endoscopy RN to join our surgical team in Broward County, FL. The role involves preop assessment, patient education, IV therapy, medication administration, and surgical-site verification within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate has an RN license with an Associate Degree in Nursing and at least 1 year of experience, plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS to be obtained within 30 days of starting. On-call responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and have an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and peri-operative processes.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
