HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, FL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team, delivering safe, high‑quality care with a collaborative, patient‑centered approach.

The role includes preoperative assessment, patient and family education, site verification, and intraoperative support, with on‑call duties during select hours; ACLS, BCLS, and PALS are required within stated timelines. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS within 90 days of employment start date
• RN license required
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma required
• No Travel Required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedure and peri-operative process
• Prepare patient including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, surgical technologists
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership to deliver safe care
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, document changes
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up
