Job summary

tms is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy (Endo) in California to provide specialized nursing care for diagnostic and therapeutic GI/endoscopic procedures. You will prepare patients, assist physicians, monitor sedation, and ensure safe post-procedure recovery with accurate documentation.

Requirements include ASN with RN licensure in California, BLS, and preferred ACLS/Mid sedation credentials. Endoscopy experience is highly desirable to enhance procedure flow and patient safety.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Moderate Sedation certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Endoscopy, GI Lab, PACU, ICU, ER, or procedural nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess patients before endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to sedation throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as appropriate.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and patient education.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
