Job summary

Heywood Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy RN to support the Perioperative, Endoscopy, and Surgical teams. Responsibilities include patient intake, IV initiation, medication reconciliation, patient education, and assisting with endoscopic procedures and specimen collection.

The role requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, an MA RN license, and ACLS certification. Endoscopy experience is preferred; cross-training within peri-operative services is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion required.
• Current RN license in MA.
• Current AHA ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Endoscopy RN responsibilities include, but are not limited to checking patients in and preparing for procedures.
• Assist with endoscopic procedures and specimen collection.
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation per policy and physician orders.
• Provide teaching and discharge planning support to patients and families.
• Maintain documentation per standards and ensure hand hygiene compliance.
