Job summary

Heywood Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support procedures in the GI team across its bi-campus locations. You will assist during endoscopic procedures, prepare and maintain equipment, and help manage patient flow and safety in the Endoscopy suite.

The role requires maintaining strict infection control, readiness for on-call rotations, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure efficient procedure turnover.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Work Experience: Endoscopy experience or endoscope processing experience preferred.
• Minimum Licenses and Certifications: AHA CPR certification required or need to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• On-call per departmental needs.
• Positive attitude, flexibility and self-direction are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and comfortable environment for patients and visitors; prepares endoscopy suite for procedures.
• Assists with endoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy, Bravo and ERCP.
• Sets up, prepares and maintains field, equipment and scopes for procedures.
• Disinfects and maintains endoscopes and related equipment.
• Assists with patient admission and discharge and with pre/post operative processes.
