Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from admission through discharge. You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care and advocate for patients and families.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing with RN licensure (BSN preferred) and CPR/NRP within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
• If prepared at the associate degree level, enroll in BSN within 12 months of hire and complete within 4 years
• RN licensure in state or compact state
• BLS/NRP CPR within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Assess plans, implement and evaluate nursing care from admission through discharge
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and quality care
• Advocate for patients and communicate concerns in a timely manner
• Identify patient and family learning needs and provide education
