Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC, part of Duke University Health System, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy to join the Endoscopy Services department.

The CN II role includes assessing, preparing, and monitoring patients undergoing GI or Pulmonary procedures such as colonoscopy and bronchoscopy, with ACLS and basic life support. Shift: four 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri with start times 7:00–8:30am; standby call for emergencies; BSN preferred, 12 months experience required.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program; NC RN licensure required.
• ACLS certification required; minimum 12 months RN experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years RN experience and moderate sedation experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care per physician orders.
• Assess, prepare, and monitor patients before, during, and after GI or Pulmonary procedures.
• Delegate tasks, supervise licensed/unlicensed staff, and act as team leader as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and ensure adherence to nursing standards during endoscopy.
