Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Endoscopy Services team at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. This CN II position focuses on GI and bronchoscopy procedures, emphasizing patient safety and high-quality care.

You will plan, provide, and document professional nursing care, monitor patients during procedures, interpret ECGs, and administer medications as ordered. The shift is five 8-hour days with standby after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification and at least one year RN experience.
• Preferred: at least two years RN experience with moderate sedation.
• Competent in monitoring, assessment and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and established policies and procedures.
• Assess, prepare, and monitor patients before, during, and after GI or Pulmonary procedures.
• Interpret ECGs and administer pharmacologic agents with continuous monitoring of vitals.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
