Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for Endoscopy Services. This CN II role involves patient assessment, pre/post care for GI and bronchoscopy procedures, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will monitor vitals, interpret EKGs, administer medications, and ensure patient safety during procedures. Four 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri with standby call as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program and NC RN licensure.
• ACLS certification and at least 1 year RN experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years RN experience and moderate sedation experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per physician orders and established policies.
• Assess, prepare, and monitor patients before, during, and after GI or Pulmonary procedures.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other staff; act as team leader when assigned.
• Maintain environment and equipment; contribute to performance improvement.
