Job summary

Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Unit. Responsibilities include patient preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, sedation under physician orders, and post-procedure discharge teaching.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure with Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• ACLS and CPR certifications are preferred/permitted for admitting endoscopy RN.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients mentally and physically for endoscopy procedures.
• Monitors vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Administers IV medications or conscious sedation under physician direction.
• Documents patient assessment and changes in condition.
• Maintains endoscopy equipment and supplies and ensures safety and comfort.
• Provides discharge instructions and patient education.
