Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Endoscopy DRMC to join our operating room team. You will evaluate patients prior to surgery, educate families, and ensure patient preparation and surgical site verification.

You will work with physicians, surgical technologists and nurses, applying the nursing process and evidence-based practices to deliver safe, high-quality care, while participating in continuous improvement and adherence to hospital policy.

Formación

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• RN licensure in Texas.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing required.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, surgical technologists, and more.
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to safely deliver nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout the shift, and document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.
