St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a Registered Nurse with Endoscopy experience to deliver patient-centered perioperative care. You’ll work Monday–Friday 6:30 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m. with on-call during some non-business hours, collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and staff to optimize safety and outcomes. The role emphasizes preop evaluation, patient education, site verification, and adherence to universal protocols.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Endoscopy nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to procedures.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative processes.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Perform surgical site verification and adhere to universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and provide quality care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, techs, and nursing staff.
• Apply nursing processes with critical thinking and leadership.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
