Job summary

Medical City Weatherford is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our surgical team. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, administer preoperative medications, and participate in site verification and time-outs.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining nursing processes. ACLS/BLS within 30 days and an RN license with an Associate Degree are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Active RN license is required (RN).
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Assist with preoperative medications and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Identify and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices.
