Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers specialized surgical and medical services with focus on patient experience and comfort. The Endoscopy department performs EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy and related procedures overseen by an Endoscopy Supervisor.

Role provides direct patient care within nursing standards, including assessment, planning, and evaluation, with a focus on patient and family education, safety, and coordinating care across teams.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care.
• Participates in patient safety and quality/regulatory activities.
• Develops, implements and documents individualized plans of care with interprofessional team.
• Communicates plan of care across the continuum of care.
