The role emphasizes advanced assessment, sedation monitoring, and patient-centered nursing with opportunities to grow into pulmonary or interventional subspecialties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Virginia; AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through endoscopy workflow: prep, procedure, and recovery.
• Provide pre-procedure assessments and intake; review med history and allergies.
• Assist GI and specialty procedures; manage instrumentation and sedation.
• Monitor patient safety, vital signs, and post-procedure recovery; prepare for discharge.
