Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision at our Towson, MD campus. The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, Maryland RN licensure, and at least two years of RN experience in the relevant specialty or LPN with director approval.

The position emphasizes comprehensive nursing care, effective communication, collaborative team work, and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Two years RN experience in the specific specialty area or LPN experience with director approval.
• Current RN registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation, patient care coordination, teaching and quality improvement.
• Performs clinical nursing skills, administers medications and IV therapy, and initiates emergency procedures as needed.
• Communicates status and plan of care to the healthcare team and patients.
• Coordinates patient activities with other disciplines and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Participates in patient teaching, discharge planning and unit level clinical monitoring.
