Job summary

Riverview Health is seeking a registered nurse for the endoscopy unit to provide continuous patient care, safety, and education through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation during endoscopic procedures.

The role emphasizes adherence to nursing standards, CLIA testing, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, timely care; cross-training to peri-anesthesia is possible and regulatory compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in Indiana at start date or transfer.
• Minimum: Med/Surg and/or Critical Care experience.
• Preferred: Endoscopy experience and moderate sedation administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient needs across physical, psychological, social, safety, and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations and complete documentation.
• Use pre/intra/post procedure assessment skills for GI and pulmonary cases.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with the health care team to deliver safe care.
• Maintain continuity of care through all procedural phases and cross-train to peri-anesthesia.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and disasters.
• Uphold standards of care, practice, competency, and nursing policy.
• Function as testing personnel under CLIA regulations as related to point-of-care testing.
• Assist with area financial management by monitoring supplies and waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
