Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge campus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy unit. The role involves coordinating patient-centered care through the nursing process, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting physicians during endoscopy, while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of acute care nursing experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care (required).
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process in accordance with policy.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures and prepare the room.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-procedure care.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols; maintain equipment accuracy.
