Job summary

United Digestive in Watkinsville, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver individualized nursing care within the endoscopy center in accordance with physician orders and approved procedures. You will plan, implement and evaluate the patient’s care at every stage of the procedure and recovery, with direct contact throughout the patient experience.

Applicants should hold a current RN license, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and have Basic Life Support; GI endoscopy experience

Qualifications

Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
Membership in GI specialty or other societies encouraged.
Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. ACLS certification is recommended, but optional.
Airway Management Module completion is required prior to IV conscious sedation; 100% on the conscious sedation module post-test.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center as per physician orders.
Plan, execute and evaluate the nursing care given to patients.
Interact with the patient in each phase of their experience.
May be required to travel to a sister center.
