Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the operating room and perioperative team.

You will evaluate patients preoperatively, provide education to patients and families, prepare for anesthesia, and support surgical workflows to ensure patient safety and efficient care. Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale must be current or obtained within the stated windows.
• Licensed RN with an Associate Degree and relevant perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure.
• Prepare patient for anesthesia and site verification.
• Participate in site verification briefings and debriefings per policy.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, technicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and documentation.
