Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy Department. The RN delivers patient care in a hospital setting with high-acuity needs, maintaining safety and quality standards in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating care plans, monitoring equipment, responding to emergencies, and documenting nursing actions according to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• Experience: 1 year required unless AVP level or above.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions, and high-level continuous nursing vigilance.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to anticipate and respond with confidence and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Identifies and prioritizes information to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient focused action.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients and interprets/records electronic displays (e.g., vital signs and monitors).
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Assesses patient’s needs and develops an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
