Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy RN, you will implement nursing care, document activities, administer medications, and supervise endoscopy suite operations.

  • Conduct age-appropriate assessments upon patient arrival.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and provide emotional support.
  • Ensure pre-procedure documentation and consent are complete.
  • Assist with anesthesia and monitor patient during procedures.
  • Set up and sterilize equipment before and after procedures.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience in acute care.
  • Preferred 1 year of Endoscopy experience.

Education

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current Texas RN license or Compact license (Texas license within 90 days if Compact).
  • BLS certification as per policy.
  • ACLS certification as per policy.
  • Preferred: Certification in Gastroenterology from the American Board.
