Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School graduate or equivalent GED.
• Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician Program preferred.
• Effective understanding and use of the English language.
• Flexible with working schedule; may work overtime.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and assist with diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians, nurses and CRNA with endoscope procedures.
• Set up rooms with equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Prepare specimens and document steps.
• Chart interventions during procedures using electronic charting.
• Maintain care and disinfection of endoscopy equipment and washer.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Provide patient care pre- and post-procedure under RN supervision.
