Community Health Systems is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support high-quality patient-centered care by assisting with endoscopic procedures and maintaining equipment for safety and compliance.

The role involves preparing rooms, cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes, inventory management, and documentation under RN supervision. Candidates typically have 0–2 years healthcare experience and may hold relevant certifications; BCLS is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or sterile processing program preferred.
• 0–2 years healthcare experience required.
• 1–3 years endoscopy experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Prepare procedure rooms and set up equipment, instruments, and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
• Assist procedural teams and position patients as needed.
• Clean, decontaminate and high-level disinfect endoscopes per guidelines.
• Troubleshoot endoscope issues to minimize delays.
• Label and document specimens and cultures per policy.
• Monitor inventory and remove expired items.
• Maintain records for decontamination and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with scheduling, preoperative calls, and medical record organization.
• Transport patients and supplies as needed.
• Maintain reliable attendance and comply with policies.
