Job summary

Stanford Health Care in California is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Manager to support clinical management and administrative coordination of designated units. You will mentor staff, supervise shifts, and help ensure quality patient care in line with hospital policies and standards.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Nursing and at least two years of related experience. The position emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• Ability to contribute to health care policy formulation with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to delegate responsibly and lead process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the performance of operational aspects of designated units, mentoring staff.
• Supervise patient care staff and coordinate administrative functions as assigned.
• Direct unit patient care operations for assigned shifts, acting on behalf of the Patient Care Manager.
• Facilitate orientation, training and ongoing staff development; participate in evaluation of performance.
• Provide competent, compassionate patient care and serve as liaison to the Patient Care Manager.
