Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston is seeking an experienced RN to coordinate daily clinical operations in the ASC Endoscopy, PACU, and Preoperative areas. You will ensure compliance with Federal, State, and JCAHO regulations and collaborate with managers and directors on staffing, policies, and quality initiatives.

The role requires ASN or higher, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS within 90 days, and 3+ years in PACU/PreOp/Endoscopy. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
• Texas RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• ACLS.
• PALS obtain within 90 days.
• 3+ years of RN experience in PACU, PreOp, Endoscopy.
• Experience in pre-operative patient assessment and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical operations of the ASC Endoscopy area assigned to PACU and Preoperative areas in accordance with Federal, State, and JCAHO regulations and Center policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Managers and Director actions related to clinical and nursing activities such as staffing, Policy and Procedure, educational activities in the preoperative / PACU area, promoting Quality Improvement Program, Infection Control and Safety plans.
• Support development and recognition of high performance in the unit and provide guidance for other roles as needed.
• Coordinate proper use of equipment, supplies and controlled drugs, and accurate medical record documentation.
