Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, seeks an RN to coordinate daily ASC Endoscopy operations in Houston. The role focuses on PACU/PreOp activities, staffing, policy adherence, and patient safety. Must hold TX RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days; 3+ years in PACU/PreOp/Endoscopy and pre-operative assessment experience are required.

• Ensure proper use of equipment, supplies and controlled drugs.
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation.

Coordinate daily clinical operations of the ASC Endoscopy area assigned either post anesthesia care unit (PACU) and preoperative area in accordance with established Federal, State, and JCAHO regulations and Center policies and procedures. Coordinates with Managers and Director actions related to the clinical and nursing activities such as staffing, Policy and Procedure, educational activities in the preoperative / PACU area, promoting Quality Improvement Program, Infection Control and Safety plans. Coordinates proper use of equipment, supplies and controlled drugs, and accurate medical record documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Texas RN license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtain within 90 days
• 3+ years of RN experience in PACU, PreOp, Endoscopy
• Experience in pre-operative patient assessment and preparation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 3+ years of Endoscopy experience
• RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

The hourly pay for this role will range from $35 - $63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
