Job summary

GI Specialists of Georgia is seeking an Assistant Clinical Coordinator to support the Clinical Coordinator in daily patient-care operations across our Endoscopy Center. This leadership role guides nurses, GI techs, and staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate service.

You’ll coordinate workflows, monitor care needs, ensure supplies for procedures, assist with staff training, and drive continuous improvements while upholding our values of teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• At least one year leadership/management experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in moving patients up to 350 pounds.
• Strong critical thinking, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow for patient-care areas and support staff.
• Monitor patient-care needs and ensure supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Support staff training and competency development; ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director to identify process improvements and promote teamwork.
• Provide leadership and be a dependable team leader when needed.

SUMMARY

The Assistant Clinical Coordinator supports the Clinical Coordinator with the day-to-day operations of the patient care areas and serves as the Coordinator's backup in their absence. This role provides leadership and support to nurses, GI Techs, and support staff while helping ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include coordinating daily workflow, monitoring patient care needs, ensuring supplies are available for scheduled procedures, supporting staff training and competencies, and helps ensure compliance with center policies. The Assistant Clinical Coordinator works closely with the Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Director to helps identify opportunities to improve processes, promote teamwork and accountability, and maintain a positive and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate is a dependable team leader who communicates effectively, demonstrates sound judgment, and is willing to step in and provide leadership when needed.
