Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse leader for the 38714 NCBH Outpatient Endoscopy Center. The role directs bronchoscopy staff, oversees patient care and quality initiatives, and ensures safe, age-appropriate services within hospital guidelines.

The nurse will coordinate with management on workflow, staffing, and budget decisions, while maintaining strong communication with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and two years' experience in Endoscopy or four years in GI nursing with management experience.
• Current RN license in the applicable state with BCLS and ACLS required. CGRN within two years; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs bronchoscopy technologists, nurses and support personnel to provide high quality endoscopy services and patient care.
• Collaborates with the coordinator to monitor workflow and ensure appropriate patient care across ages.
• Ensures safe patient environment with qualified staff and appropriate training.
• Directs staff to meet Joint Commission and regulatory guidelines for quality improvement.
• Provides direct patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards of care.
• Collaborates on department budget and capital equipment decisions.
